Matahari announced the results of the Customer Donation program for the period of January 2024, where for this period, Matahari collaborated with the Papua Hope Education Foundation (YPHP) as a distribution partner where this donation was used to advance the education of Indonesian children, especially in the interior of Papua.
During this period, Matahari customers gave donations totaling Rp 44,853,620, where the donations have been realized by YPHP and have been used for:
- SLH Nalca and SLH Danowage Solar Panel Repair : Departure of technicians to repair solar panel batteries for the needs of schools and dormitories in the interior of Papua which can indirectly support the sustainability of quality education in Papua.
- SLH Haluwon KaBand Device & SLH Haluwon Internet Costs: Internet access is needed by educators and students to access various information for holistic quality education. YPHP realizes the availability of internet devices in remote schools in Papua.
- Contribution to Padepokan Bisat Nusantara: Assistance for learning facilities for Padepokan Bisat Nusantara. The Padepokan located in Tigaraksa, Tangerang is one of the tutoring places for children whose parents are prisoners. The Padepokan consists of children from three levels of education, namely Kindergarten, Elementary School and Junior High School.
The Customer Donation Program is a regular initiative from Matahari, which allows customers to contribute to eradicating poverty, improving community welfare, and supporting children's education in Indonesia. Customers can donate through the cashier at all Matahari stores in Indonesia.
Matahari would like to thank Matahari customers who have provided significant assistance for education in the interior of Papua and supported alternative education in the archipelago.
