Matahari Distributes IDR 947,786,736 in Customer Donations for February – April 2024 through Dompet Dhuafa and Benih Baik

Matahari officially announced the results of the Customer Donation program for the period February - April 2024. The Customer Donation Program is a program that has become a routine activity of Matahari where customers can contribute to help alleviate poverty, improve community welfare, and improve education for children in Indonesia by donating through Matahari cashiers throughout Indonesia. For this period, Matahari collaborated with Dompet Dhuafa and Benih Baik as its distribution partners.

The Customer Donation handover ceremony took place at Menara Matahari, Karawaci, Tangerang on Thursday, May 30, 2024. The donation was officially handed over by Herni Dian (Chief People & Culture Matahari) and received by Etika Setiawanti (Director of Resource Mobilization of Dompet Dhuafa) and Al Greeny Dewayanti (Chief Partnership Officer BenihBaik.com).

During February – April 2024, Matahari managed to collect customer donations of Rp 947,786,736. Of the customer donations, Rp 473,893,368 was distributed through Dompet Dhuafa and Rp 473,893,368 was distributed through Benih Baik.

In their action plan, the partners intend to use the donations for programs that focus on:

  • Education, such as through the provision of facilities (classrooms, literacy houses, sports fields), development of children's skills (digital training), strengthening children's support systems (families and youth), and financial assistance (scholarships).
  • Health, such as through the fulfillment of balanced nutrition to prevent stunting and wasting; fulfillment of clean water and sanitation needs (through wash facilities); improving health quality (health checks and providing health supplements); and developing awareness of the importance of clean and healthy living behavior.
