Over two months, from August 1 to September 30, 2024, Matahari customers contributed to making a significant positive impact through the program of Education Support for children in Papua together with Matahari’s customers.
A total Customer Donation of IDR 103,101,691 was collected and has been channeled through Yayasan Pendidikan Harapan Papua (YPHP), a non-profit organization focused on education and healthcare for children in remote areas of Papua, Indonesia.
The donated funds were used to support the development of Sekolah Lentera Harapan (SLH) Karubaga, located in Tolikara Regency, Province of Highland Papua. The donations were allocated as part of the Material Procurement Program for the construction of SLH Karubaga. The school is currently undergoing expansion to increase capacity and improve facilities, allowing it to accommodate more students.

In the 2024-2025 academic year, SLH Karubaga already serves 284 students. With the school's expansion, it is hoped that more children in the region will gain access to quality education.
