PT Matahari Department Store Tbk ("Matahari" or "the Company"; stock code: "LPPF") is expanding its business by opening a new store at Living Plaza Hertasning, Gowa, Makassar today. The store is located at Jalan Tun Abdul Razak, Tombolo, Somba Opu, Gowa, 92114. Located in a strategic area, the store is located on the main road connecting Gowa Regency to Makassar City and is also close to elite housing complexes and various popular fast food restaurants.
Matahari comes with a new concept; in a smaller store format with higher productivity and using 100% LED lighting. Matahari Living Plaza Hertasning with a total area of 2,279 m2 is the fourth store opened this year, bringing the total in Indonesia to 142 stores. This new store supports the local economy by employing more than 100 local employees. The Company will open other new stores in Bondowoso in October, Kendari and Bontang in November, and in Jakarta in December, and has visibility on a total expansion of 10 new stores during 2022. Furthermore, Matahari will add 12-15 new stores in 2023 and has increased opportunities for store expansion and job creation. The total number of stores that will be traded nationally by the end of 2022 will increase from 148 to 160 or more by the end of 2023.
Living Plaza Hertasning is a one-stop solution shopping center for home, furniture, electronics and lifestyle needs from Kawan Lama Group. The mall was officially opened today for the first time in Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi. At the Grand Opening event, Living Plaza Hertasning together with Matahari conveyed their commitment to provide added value to the surrounding community.
