Modern retail company PT Matahari Department Store Tbk (“Matahari or the "Company"; stock code: "LPPF") announced a partnership with Indonesian technology company, Tokopedia, to launch the Matahari Official Store today (11/04/2022).
The presence of the Matahari Official Store on Tokopedia will make it easier for the public, including Tokopedia users spread across 99% of sub-districts in Indonesia, to get a variety of local and international fashion products at Matahari comfortably.
Terry O'Connor, CEO of Matahari said, "Matahari welcomes various media and technology-based communication touchpoints to deliver quality fashion products to all customers in line with our vision to become an omni-channel House of Specialists . Collaboration with Tokopedia is one of our strategic efforts to drive the progress of the creative industry and provide alternative shopping options to all customers. Tokopedia itself noted that ahead of Ramadan 2022, the Fashion category was one of the categories with the highest increase in transactions compared to the same period in the previous year. This shopping trend also shows that people's enthusiasm in meeting their fashion needs from home is still very high.
