PT Matahari Department Store Tbk (“Matahari” or the “Company”; stock code: “LPPF”) today announced the agenda for the upcoming Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (“AGMS”). Matahari has proposed a final dividend of Rp250 per share, before taking into account the interim dividend of Rp100 per share paid in December 2021, bringing the total dividend to Rp350 per share for the 2021 financial year.
If approved by the AGM, the final dividend will be paid on May 6, 2022. Shareholders registered in the Company's shareholder register on April 18, 2022 (recording date) will be entitled to receive the dividend payment. Going forward, management recommends a dividend payment of Rp 500 per share for the 2022 financial year.
Previously, Matahari announced gross sales of Rp10.3 trillion for the full year ended December 31, 2021, 20% higher than the previous year. Net revenue reached Rp5.6 trillion, or grew 15% from 2020, and net profit of Rp913 billion compared to a net loss of Rp(873) billion in 2020, supported by the trading performance of Q4 2021 along with the easing of PPKM (which helped the recovery conditions) and initiatives undertaken by the Company.
Niraj Jain, CFO of Matahari, said, “We have been focused on shareholders and are pleased to see shareholder recognition of our performance in 2021. We hope the proposed dividend can show our appreciation to all shareholders.”
