PT Matahari Department Store Tbk (“Matahari”) focuses community support on orphans by donating 1000 items of clothing to orphans from 10 orphanages spread across Indonesia in December 2021. The activity titled “Senyummu, Matahariku” is a program designed to give back to those in need in line with Matahari’s 2021 Christmas theme, “ Season to Shine ”.
In addition, Matahari also invites customers to get involved in the “Senyummu, Matahariku” program by participating, where every transaction worth at least IDR 300,000 at Matahari outlets will represent a customer donation of IDR 10,000 for orphans. The collection of donations has been ongoing since November 1, 2021 and will continue until December 20, 2021. After the fundraising is complete, 10 regional areas of Matahari outlets will distribute it in the form of 1000 sets of clothing for 10 orphanages involved.
