Matahari ("Company"; stock code: "LPPF") expands its business by opening two new stores, in line with this year's spirit theme " Time To Grow ". Matahari today opened a store at Plaza Balikpapan, East Kalimantan and will open another one at Discovery Shopping Mall, Bali on April 6, 2023.
With a new, fresher concept, both stores offer updated merchandise and a better customer shopping experience. Matahari uses a 100% LED lighting system as the Company's commitment to the environment. The Company believes that the presence of these two stores with modern characteristics will provide different shopping options for the local community.
Matahari Plaza Balikpapan with an area of 7,550 m2 is ready to welcome loyal customers by providing various product categories and brands. Meanwhile, Matahari Discovery Shopping Mall Bali with an area of 3,387 m2 will meet shopping needs by offering recreational products, clothing, footwear, and beauty products. The company is confident that these outlets will provide a pleasant shopping experience for the surrounding local community.

The presence of this new Matahari store is expected to have a positive impact on the local population, especially by absorbing more than 400 workers with more than 90% being local employees. Specifically, Matahari Plaza Balikpapan synergizes with the Balikpapan City Trade Office to provide counters for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (“MSMEs”) to support the local economy.
Coinciding with the inauguration of its two newest stores, Matahari held a corporate social responsibility (CSR) program. Matahari Plaza Balikpapan donated Rp10,000,000 to the Assuda Grand Mosque, and Rp10,000,000 to the Mizan Amanah Orphanage. Matahari Discovery Shopping Mall, Bali donated Rp10,000,000 to the Tat Twam Asi Orphanage and Rp10,000,000 to the Eben Haezer Orphanage.
